Your footage, camera-ready. Everyone wants the viewfinder look: frame lines, a blinking REC dot, ISO and shutter readouts on the edge of the shot. Then they open a HUD pack, find a folder of PNGs that all say ISO 800, and spend the next hour in Photoshop. This is the HUD I built for my own work at WHATEVR. Creative Studios: run clubs, fitness brands, nightlife, artists. It's what I reach for when a post needs to feel shot, not edited. Six styles. Type your own readouts, click Apply, and it lands on your timeline in Premiere Pro, After Effects or DaVinci Resolve, in 4K, horizontal or vertical. No PNGs, no Photoshop, no guessing. The Styles CROSSHAIR: A clean frame with tick marks on every edge. The classic. WINDOW: A thin frame with corner marks and your readouts spread across the top. MATTE: A see-through colored border, like the frame lines on a real monitor. CORNERS: Four brackets and a center reticle. Full-frame footage, nothing in the way. MONITOR: A field-monitor look with a status bar, codec, battery and audio meters. MINIMAL: No frame at all. Just the readouts, floating on the edges. Make It Yours Every readout: FOV, ISO, WB, FPS, SHUTTER and CAM. Type your own values, rename the labels, or hide any of them. A REC light that blinks: just the dot, or the dot plus the word, at three speeds. A timecode that actually runs: frame-accurate and counting up from any start time. Your colors: frame line, text, REC, border and matte. Plus border opacity, label brightness, text size and a drop shadow for busy footage. Frame controls: frame size, line thickness, edge ticks, center reticle and crop guides (2.39:1, 1.85:1, 4:5, 1:1, 9:16). Presets: save your look once and reuse it on every project. How It Works Open the panel: Window > Extensions > WHATEVR Cine HUD. Pick a style and set your readouts. The live preview shows exactly what you'll get. Click Apply. The HUD drops onto the top of your timeline at your sequence's exact size, 4K included. Keep tweaking. With Live update on, every change shows up in Premiere or After Effects instantly. Horizontal or vertical, one click. The Sequence buttons flip your whole sequence between 16:9 and 9:16 and reframe your footage to fill it. The HUD layout is separate, so you can run a 16:9 viewfinder on a vertical post. Clean timeline. The HUD uses two layers at most, and Remove takes it all back off and restores your footage. In DaVinci Resolve every style is a drag-and-drop title. Set REC, blink, timecode, readouts and colors in the Inspector. The REC dot blinks and the timecode runs on its own, frame by frame. One Purchase. Every Editor. Cut in Premiere, finish in Resolve? Do your motion in After Effects? Same here. You get all three in one download: Premiere Pro, After Effects and DaVinci Resolve. No "wrong version," no buying it twice. Restart Premiere Pro or After Effects after installing. They only look for new panels when they open. "Will it change my footage?" Only if you ask it to. By default your footage stays full size and the HUD sits on top. Turn on the matte and Fit footage, and it scales your clips into the frame. Remove puts them back exactly how they were. "Does it work on 1080p sequences?" Yes. The HUD always renders at your sequence's exact size, from 1080p up to 4K. "Can I use it in client work?" Yes. Use it on personal and client projects. Just don't resell or share the plugin itself. Questions? DM [@whatevrstudios] on Instagram.
